Brunch Elektronic
Blary Phylon found herself at Brunch Elektronic Barcelona in July 2024, working as filmmaker and photographer for Patricia Mantovani. The gig opened up the entire festival to her creative vision. She moved through crowds capturing the infamous Wade alongside other standout performers, weaving together moments both on stage and in the wings. Her camera became a storyteller, pulling together the raw energy of Barcelona's premier electronic music gathering.
"Working with Patricia gave me backstage access to everything. Each frame captured something different – the way light hit a performer's face, the crowd's reaction to a drop, the quiet moments between sets. Wade's performance was magnetic; his stage presence translated perfectly through the viewfinder.
The festival became a networking goldmine. Content creators, artists, and industry people gravitated toward each other naturally. People noticed how I worked, appreciated the way I moved through spaces without disrupting the flow. Being welcomed into the Brunch Elektronic community felt organic, like finding your tribe at exactly the right moment.
Moving through the festival, opportunities appeared everywhere. Strobing lights painted faces in neon, bass lines made the ground pulse, and genuine reactions unfolded in real time. The festival served up visual stories faster than I could capture them.
The connections made weren't just professional handshakes – they were conversations about craft, shared Instagram handles, and promises to collaborate. There's something special about meeting people who understand that perfect shot you've been chasing. The day delivered both killer content and relationships that'll outlast the festival itself."
